Tragic Car Accident in Yerevan: Injuries and Fatalities
A major and tragic car accident occurred in Yerevan yesterday. Around 11:30 PM, 25-year-old Artashes Poghosyan was driving a Honda Sonata with license plate 77 TT 107 when he veered into the oncoming traffic lane at the intersection of Acharian Street and Acharian 2 Alley. The car struck road curbs, continued forward, collided with an advertising billboard, and flipped over, ending up in front of the CPS gas station.
According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, A. Poghosyan and his passengers—27-year-old Davit Matevosyan from Areni village in Vayots Dzor Province and 25-year-old Davit Kianosyan from Yerevan—sustained bodily injuries and were transported to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center.
On the way to the hospital, D. Matevosyan lost consciousness and unfortunately passed away in the ambulance.
According to G. Shamshyan, driver A. Poghosyan works in the security department of Ameriabank CJSC as a junior specialist.
