Discussions Underway Regarding Blocked Armenian Websites in Russia
The press service of the Armenian Embassy in the Russian Federation has announced that discussions are underway regarding Armenian websites that have been blocked in Russia.
"We inform you that several Armenian media outlets have approached the Armenian Embassy regarding the blocking of their websites in the territory of the Russian Federation. Letters of inquiry have also been received from certain specialized organizations.
We would like to inform you that this issue is under the attention of the Embassy. In this regard, the Embassy has contacted the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media of the Russian Federation (ROSKOMNADZOR), and has also held consultative discussions with experts in the field.
We will provide further updates on the results of the ongoing meetings.
Additionally, it should be noted that the blocking of certain websites has already been lifted. Discussions are also ongoing regarding other blocked websites, and the process has both legal and technical dimensions."
