2 Million Dram Bonuses Awarded at City Hall: List Released
The highest bonus awarded at the Yerevan City Hall at the end of last year was received by Arsen Amyan, the head of the Real Estate Management Department. According to a document published on the Yerevan City Hall website, Arsen Amyan's bonus amounted to 2,049,800 drams, plus a 13th salary of 346,000 drams. Amyan has been with the City Hall for over ten years and is one of its long-time employees.
Following Amyan, the second-largest bonus was awarded to Zaven Arakelyan, the head of the Legal Department, who received 1,666,670 drams. He also received a 13th salary of 346,000 drams.
Hraparak.am notes that Mayor Hayk Marutyan did not mention their bonuses in a recent Facebook video but only announced the amounts received by the deputy mayors and heads of administrative districts at the end of the year.
“The first deputy mayor of Yerevan received 956,000 drams, which amounts to 688,000 drams after taxes; Hayk Sargsyan, deputy mayor, 886,000 drams, netting 637,000 drams; Sergey Harutyunyan, net 637,000 drams; Tigran Virabyan, net 937,000 drams; and Yerevan's chief architect Arthur Meshchyan, net 637,000 drams. All 12 heads of administrative districts received 288,000 drams each, and Hayk Marutyan, the mayor of Yerevan, received 0 drams, while the remaining list will be published on the official website of the City Hall,” Marutyan stated in the video.
