15-20% Salary Increase for Outpatient-Polyclinic Sector Starting January 1
The Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, announced on his Facebook page:
“Today, I signed a decree regarding the new salary calculation for healthcare workers in the Primary Health Care (PHC) sector. This marks the second increase in the past six months, resulting in a salary increase of 30-40% for approximately 10,000 healthcare workers in the PHC sector.”
This step should be viewed within the framework of our policy to develop preventive medicine. We expect better outcomes from the PHC sector and its healthcare workers, especially in managing chronic diseases among the population they serve, to relieve the burden on hospitals and emergency services. This initiative will also help attract our best healthcare workers to the PHC sector.
