Arthur Meschan reveals fate of Arami 23 building
Finally, the issue of the Arami 23 building has been resolved. This was stated by Yerevan's Chief Architect Arthur Meschan during a press conference summarizing his first 100 days in office.
“The AMC, as the developer of that area, along with Mr. Hekekyan and the Ministry of Culture, will sign a contract in which the developer provides 14 million drams to Italian architect Lucio Piccini, who will prepare the restoration project for that structure,” Meschan said.
The architect expressed his happiness that an Italian architect is coming to Yerevan for the restoration of this building but wryly noted that, unfortunately, the same person did not come to Armenia when the walls of more valuable churches were being demolished.
