Russia's Foreign Ministry's Firm Response to Azerbaijan: No Country Has the Right to Instruct Russia

The Russian Foreign Ministry has commented on the Azerbaijani foreign ministry's response regarding the prohibition of Armenian citizens entering Azerbaijan.

According to Vladimir Lepekhin, director of the EAEU Institute, the statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry is very normal. The expert believes that no country in the world, including Azerbaijan, has the right to instruct Russia on how to treat people of a certain nationality.

"If this did not concern the Armenian side, perhaps the Foreign Ministry would not have been as prompt in its statements. However, on one hand, there are Russian-Azerbaijani relations, and on the other, Russian-Armenian relations, which are under the attention of Russia; therefore, the Foreign Ministry has responded quite rapidly, showing the Azerbaijani side the unacceptability of such statements," Vladimir Lepekhin stated in an interview with Rusarminfo.

He also believes that the Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed a clear position in this matter, emphasizing that it is carefully monitoring what is happening in both Russian-Azerbaijani and Russian-Armenian relations.

The director of the EAEU Institute also thinks that measures will be taken at the diplomatic level between the two countries to clarify who is right and who is wrong in this situation.
