Hunanyan Poghosyan appointed as Police Chief, Narek Babayan as Syunik Governor
According to reliable information from "Zhamanak," Narek Babayan, currently the deputy governor of Syunik, member of the Civil Contract party, and former candidate for the mayor of Kapan, will be appointed as the governor of Syunik.
It is noteworthy that Narek Babayan ran for the Kapan mayoral elections from the "My Step" faction but lost after failing to secure enough votes. In a conversation with us, Babayan stated that he has not received such an offer at this time and cannot comment on it.
Our sources indicate that amid changes, the current governor of Syunik, Hunanyan Poghosyan, will be appointed as the Chief of Police, replacing Valery Osipyan.
Poghosyan refrained from confirming or denying the information in a conversation with us. "I have a lot of respect for you, I accept that, but I do not want to answer or address any such questions. I will serve as the governor of Syunik, please do not ask me similar questions," said Poghosyan. When asked for clarification on whether he had received such an offer, Poghosyan paused momentarily, then reiterated that he does not wish to discuss the topic," the newspaper reports.
