Snowfall in the Dilijan Turns and Shirak Province
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia has reported that as of January 8 at 11:10 AM, there are impassable roads across the country.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed. The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable, and snowfall is occurring in the Dilijan turns and Shirak Province.
Drivers are advised to travel in the regions exclusively with winter tires.
According to information received from the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for light passenger vehicles.
Information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia’s North Ossetia indicates that there are 120 trucks stranded on the Russian side.
