Yerevan Man Charged with Trafficking Large Quantities of Drugs
A Yerevan resident has been charged with the illegal trafficking of drugs in large quantities. According to Aurora News, the Investigative Committee has reported that a 43-year-old man from Yerevan illegally acquired, stored, and sold 0.02 grams of the drug known as 'Methadone' in March 2018.
During the pre-investigation, factual data related to other criminal activities were obtained. Specifically, it was found that the 43-year-old man, with the intent to sell to various individuals, illegally acquired and kept at his home 0.08 grams of the drug known as 'Marijuana,' as well as a significant quantity of 9 tablets containing 0.045 grams of the psychoactive substance 'Haloperidol' and 17 tablets containing 0.034 grams of the psychoactive substance 'Lorazepam.'
The man has been charged under Articles 266(2)(2) and 266(1) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
It has been announced that the pre-investigation of the criminal case has been completed, and the case has been forwarded to the court with a charge conclusion.
