Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in the Coming 5 Days: Wind in Yerevan to Intensify Up to 23 m/s

From August 13 to 17, brief rain and thunderstorms are forecasted in Yerevan and much of the Republic's regions, along with wind intensification.

In Yerevan, during the nights and evenings of August 13-17, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain areas of the city, during which the wind will intensify to 18-23 m/s, and 15-18 m/s in the evenings.

During the same period, many regions of the Republic will experience brief rainfall and thunderstorms during the night and afternoon hours, with heavy downpours expected in some areas, and even hail is possible. The wind will be from the northeast and east at a speed of 4-7 m/s, but during thunderstorms, it may intensify to 20-25 m/s.

Additionally, on the evenings of August 13-17, in the Armavir region, in the foothill areas of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, as well as certain parts of Shirak, the wind speed will reach 17-20 m/s.

No significant change in air temperature is anticipated. According to Yerevan's long-term climate data, the maximum temperature recorded on August 13 is 40.5°C in 2023, the minimum is 14.3°C in 1981, while the average daily temperature is 26.6°C.
