$927 Million Allocated for White House Renovation: Details of Secret Contracts Revealed
The Trump administration plans to allocate $927 million for White House renovation projects. This was reported by The Washington Post. According to the publication, the undisclosed contracts include expenses related to Lafayette Square Park, the construction of a helicopter pad, a new visitor screening center, and other projects with a total cost of at least $927 million.
According to The Washington Post, the primary burden of funding will fall on taxpayers. Trump, on the other hand, has repeatedly claimed that the project is financed solely through private donor funds and thus requires no public budget allocations.
Last week, a U.S. appellate court ordered the Trump administration to halt the implementation of a large-scale project to construct a new exhibition hall at the White House. The U.S. president promised to appeal this decision to the Supreme Court. In February of this year, Trump announced that a special committee had approved his plan for the construction of the new exhibition hall at the White House.
