Body of Man Found in Yerevan with Blood-like Marks on Face

A man's body with blood-like marks on his face has been discovered on Gusan Sherami street in Yerevan, prompting the initiation of a criminal investigation.

On August 12, at approximately 19:40, the Yerevan emergency medical services received a call at the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ operational management center reporting that paramedics had responded to the address 28/7 Gusan Sherami street. Emergency responders attempted to assist the injured man outside, but he was pronounced dead.

According to Shamshyan.com, an operational team from the Malatia division of the Community Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by Division Head Karen Buniatyan, and a rescue team from the Yerevan fire and rescue service's first battalion arrived at the scene.

Information from the Malatia division was forwarded to the investigation department of the Investigation Committee of Armenia, where an investigative team led by Division Head Rafael Sargsyan and the on-duty investigator arrived.

Authorities are currently working to establish the deceased's identity. A criminal case has been initiated in regard to the incident. The deceased bore blood-like marks on his face, and the circumstances of his death are being clarified.
