What Is He Proud Of: Martyrs of March 1 or the Killing of Pavlovok’s Paul Paulosyan? Chakhoyan
This podium is echoing statements with which, to put it mildly, I am not in agreement. To be honest, I wanted to address Levon Kocharian's statements, but once again those seats are empty.
This was announced by Taron Chakhoyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, from the parliamentary podium.
“These people have the habit of coming, making quick statements, and leaving the hall quickly so they don’t hear the answers to their statements. I might have to dialogue with the empty chairs. There’s no other option,” Chakhoyan noted.
According to him, Levon Kocharian is proud, and he is trying to understand what he is proud of—whether it’s the events of March 1, or October 27, or is it for the killing of Paul Paulosyan in Pavlovok? Is it for political assassinations and persecutions that he is proud?
“It’s a pity he was not in the hall; I hope he would have responded from his seat,” added Chakhoyan.
He also addressed the opposition's allegations of corruption against the members of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction.
“Dear people, take a look next to you. Next to you is Levon Kocharian, and his father, Robert Kocharian, is currently accused of illegal enrichment. The prosecutor’s office is demanding $200 million worth of property from Robert Kocharian,” he noted, asking why the members of the ‘Armenia’ faction have never asked Kocharian how it happened that, with a salary of 400,000 dram as president, he became the owner of a gold mine in Africa and a villa in Greece.
“Don’t you ever ask your leader? You are trying to look for corruption among us,” the deputy stated.
