The Tax Committee's Warning: The Electric Vehicle Preferential Quota is Nearing Exhaustion

The State Revenue Committee of Armenia reports that the remainder of the tariff quota for electric vehicles classified under codes 8703 80 000 3 and 8703 80 000 5, which allows for a 0% import duty, will be applicable until August 2, 2026. The remaining quota for dealer-distributors is 1,283 units, with 57% already utilized, while the quota for non-dealer distributors stands at 1,164 units, with 90% having been used.

Given that the non-dealer distributor quota has already been utilized by 90%, the Committee will begin to publish the remaining quota amounts more frequently.
