Ghalibaf Reveals Details from the First Hours of the War
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has revealed details from the first hours of the military escalation. He stated that the country's leadership learned of their leader's death on March 9, just one hour after the initial bombings.
According to Ghalibaf, it took some time to convene an emergency meeting involving key government officials. By the time Ali Larijani arrived, it was already 8:00 PM. During this gathering, it was initially decided to postpone the official announcement regarding the leader's death until the next morning, after which the attendees hurriedly departed.
However, the leadership later changed this plan. It was decided to issue an official statement at dawn, simultaneously calling on citizens to take to the streets.
