The Russian agency "RIA Novosti" published data indicating that approximately 70% of Armenian wine exports are directed toward countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), primarily Russia. Auroranews verified this information and found that the data is indeed accurate. A significant portion of Armenian wine exports is indeed headed to EAEU countries, particularly Russia.

According to 2025 data, Armenian companies exported wine worth $18.7 million. Of that, products worth $12.8 million were supplied to Russia. In total, EAEU countries accounted for approximately $13 million of Armenian wine, which represents about 69.6% of the total export volume.

Auroranews contacted the press secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia for a comment. He noted that the matter falls outside the ministry's jurisdiction and suggested contacting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs instead. Our calls to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs went unanswered.

It should be added that the United States and Curacao are among the major importers of Armenian wine outside the EAEU.
