Minor Girl Abducted and Subjected to Sexual Violence: Verdict Announced

The Shirak regional first-instance court has issued a guilty verdict on May 8, 2026, regarding N.G., A.A., A.B., and S.S., who were found guilty of abducting a minor girl and committing acts of sexual violence against her.

The prosecutor had initiated a public criminal prosecution against N.G., A.A., A.B., and S.S. on June 15, 2024, under Article 191, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code (abduction of a minor) and Article 198, Part 2, Clause 2 (committing sexual acts of violence against a minor).

During the criminal investigation conducted by the Investigative Committee, it was revealed that in 2023, minors N.G., A.A., A.B., and S.S., acting in a group and in pre-arrangement, deceitfully abducted a minor girl, transported her to a half-built building in Gyumri, and, complementing each other's actions, committed acts of sexual violence, recorded them on video, and published the video on one of the social media accounts under unknown circumstances during the investigation.

The prosecutor submitted the materials of the criminal case regarding the aforementioned individuals to the competent court on January 25, 2025, along with an approved indictment.
