Garik Sargsyan, the head of the Vedi community, stated that they became aware of the incident likely in April, following the uproar raised after the stabbing. The mayor described the occurrence as an extremely horrifying event. According to him, considering the sensitivity of the topic, they tried not to react in any manner, as their words or the message they distributed could potentially flare up people's nerves.

Sargsyan also added that the police had already investigated the incident and forwarded it to the investigative bodies. For more details, see the video.
