Avinyan Announces Start Date for Incomplete Section of North-South Highway
The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, addressed the issue of the Babajanyan-Ashtarak road—specifically, the incomplete section of the North-South highway—during a government meeting.
“Today, we proposed the second project to the government, ensuring the immediacy of the actual construction work. We plan to commence actual work within the next month and a half. Currently, the main large package of redesign work is nearing completion, after which certain detailed tasks will be executed,” the mayor stated.
According to him, while 270 meters may not seem like a large distance, this issue has persisted for seven years. “We have faced significant problems in that section related to congestion and overall inconveniences. In just 1.5 months, we have achieved results that we could not accomplish in nearly seven years. This is a crucial part of the North-South road, completing that roadway segment,” Tigran Avinyan remarked.
