VIDEO: The Speaker of Parliament Distributed Bonuses After the Displacement in Artsakh, Narek Karapetyan
Member of the "Strong Armenia" party council, Narek Karapetyan, stated in an interview with Kentron TV that two months after the displacement in Artsakh, when the humanitarian situation was dire, the Speaker of Parliament distributed bonuses to MPs and the parliamentary staff.
He recounted that his entire team had been working day and night under extremely stressful conditions during that time. According to him, it was particularly difficult to see that in every 3-4th vehicle arriving in Tashir, families came without their fathers and grandfathers, often bringing only their pictures.
Karapetyan emphasized that those were the hardest days of his life. Speaking about the actions of the ruling party during that time, he made a comparison and presented a decree signed by Speaker Alen Simonian. According to the speaker, while they were preoccupied with issues concerning the displaced persons, the Speaker of Parliament allocated bonuses to MPs and parliamentary staff after the aggression in Artsakh in 2023.
He added that even two months later, when there were 100,000 homeless people in Armenia, the bonuses continued.
