Iran Rejects US Proposal: No Ceasefire
Iranian state media reports that Washington's latest diplomatic attempt has failed. According to Fars Agency and state television, on April 1, the US proposed a 48-hour ceasefire to Tehran through a mediator.
Officials in Iran believe that this proposal is linked to the current situation in the region and a misjudgment of Iran's military capabilities.
Tehran has not provided any written or diplomatic response. Instead, according to the same sources, the reaction has been expressed through military actions, continuing and intensifying strikes against American targets.
Sources note that US diplomatic activity has increased following the attack on a military depot on Kuwait's Bubiyan Island. Official Tehran maintains that it is not ready for temporary arrangements, demanding a full cessation of operations and respect for its strategic interests.
