Says 'At least let them participate in the elections as friends': Arman Yeghoyan
“Okay, let me translate yesterday's conversation,” wrote MP Arman Yeghoyan on his Facebook page, referring to the meeting between Pashinyan and Putin. “The man says, ‘It’s already clear that pro-Russian forces will not be able to win your upcoming elections (that’s why I’m speaking so openly now), but hey, our friends should at least be allowed to participate in the elections, come to parliament, what will happen?’ In return, we will not raise gas prices, and we won’t hold up agricultural products at the border; we will not fundamentally oppose TRIPPL. Yes, sometimes, when we can’t find a common language on other issues, they will come out and hold protests, telling you that you are pro-Turkish, and so on, but that’s our style. This has been the way we've operated for centuries; we couldn’t have built a new system of relations in these five years, so let’s move forward holding on to this golden mean until we see what happens.”
