Argentina Declares Iranian Envoy 'Persona Non Grata', Must Leave Country in 48 Hours
The Argentine government has declared the interim chargé d'affaires of Iran in Buenos Aires as 'persona non grata'. This announcement was made by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the statement, Iran's interim representative Mohsen Soltani has been recognized as 'persona non grata' based on Article 9 of the Vienna Convention, and he has been instructed to leave the country within 48 hours.
This decision comes in response to a statement from Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Argentina's designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization.
