Kaja Kallas Condemns Iran's Attacks
The European Union has condemned Iran's attacks on Qatar's oil and gas infrastructure, stating that the situation requires immediate de-escalation. This was remarked by EU's foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas before the opening of the EU summit.
According to her, targeting Qatar's energy facilities only exacerbates instability and contributes to the continuation of chaos in the region. Kallas emphasized that to resolve the current situation, what is needed is not a new escalation of tensions, but a reduction of conflict.
The EU external affairs chief also mentioned that diplomatic contacts with both Iran and the United States continue. She underscored that she will continue to raise the issue of de-escalation in the near future.
