Azerbaijani Nationals Visiting Armenia Were Russian Citizens: NSS
The Azerbaijani nationals who visited Armenia are citizens of the Russian Federation, having previously traveled to the country in 2013 and 2014. This was stated in response to a query by the National Security Service (NSS) of the Republic of Armenia.
The NSS also informed that they entered and exited Armenia through the state border checkpoint "Bagratashen," and that the visit was of a private nature. It was noted that information regarding the activities and outcomes of the NSS is classified as state secret, and according to Article 8, Part 1, Point 1 of the Law on Freedom of Information, it is not subject to publication.
It is worth mentioning that a video titled "Azerbaijanis Talking with Armenian Patrols in Amasia" has circulated on the internet.
