EU Does Not Need Protection from Russia, Says Szijjarto
The Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Peter Szijjarto, has stated that the claim that Ukraine is defending Europe is not in line with reality. He emphasized that such assertions are misleading.
In an interview with Turkish media, Szijjarto pointed out that Russia has not attacked any member state of the European Union. Consequently, according to him, the EU does not require protection.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister stressed that issues of European security must be evaluated based on facts. He also highlighted that his country's position is based on the current assessment of the regional situation.
Szijjarto's comments come amid ongoing discussions surrounding European security and the situation in Ukraine.
