NATO Secretary General on Russia's Security Guarantees
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has not ruled out the inclusion of Russia's security guarantees in a final peace agreement for Ukraine. He responded to reporters' questions regarding whether such guarantees could be part of the peace deal.
“Essentially, under American leadership, we are doing everything we can to unite Ukrainians, Russians, and the United States, obviously in close coordination with allies, to ensure the end of the war. This includes what is necessary for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, the peace settlement, including sensitive issues like territorial disputes. And third, I think it is very important to know how we can ensure that this is not a repeat of the Minsk agreements, and that the agreement is in force. And that there are very strong security guarantees,” he stated.
