U.S. Embassy in Armenia Issues Statement
The government of the United States and the government of the Republic of Armenia have concluded negotiations on an agreement regarding the peaceful use of nuclear energy. This was stated in a press release from the U.S. Embassy in Armenia.
“The completion of these negotiations marks an important step towards deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of civilian nuclear energy, as a key element of the Memorandum of Understanding on Energy Security signed between the governments of the United States and the Republic of Armenia on August 8, 2025, in Washington,” the statement said.
This agreement will expand bilateral cooperation in energy security, strengthen long-lasting diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries, and provide a comprehensive legal framework for cooperation in the nuclear energy sector,” the message continued.
It was noted that Washington and Yerevan hope to develop a strong, mutually beneficial partnership in the field of nuclear energy in the coming years.
