Mixed Rain, Fog, and Snow: Situation on Armenia's Highways
As of February 10 at 16:20, all interstate and republican highways in Armenia are open. The organizations responsible for road maintenance continue their work on snow clearing and the application of salt and gravel. This information has been provided by the Road Department.
Due to adverse weather conditions, roadways may be temporarily closed because of heavy snowfall, lack of visibility, and safety considerations for traffic. The roads from Sisian to Kapan and the Vardenyats pass are closed for vehicles with trailers. Snow is falling in the regions of Ararat, Yeghgneadzor, Goris, Ani, Ashotik, Sevan, Jambarak, Gavar, and Aragats, while mixed rain is observed in the regions of Aparan and Vardenis.
There is fog in the Megrik pass, with visibility reduced to 200 meters. Drivers are urged to be cautious, strictly adhere to traffic rules, and travel exclusively with winter tires.
