Hamas Cannot Expect Future Governance of Gaza, Says U.S. Ambassador
The U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, has stated that if Hamas believes it can simply wait for the U.S. president to leave office and thus retain its weapons and future role in the governance of Gaza, then “they apparently have a listening problem.”
According to the ambassador, the best option for Hamas would be to realize the situation as quickly as possible and voluntarily disarm, rather than being forced to surrender their weapons through the use of force.
“The sooner they understand this and the more quickly they voluntarily disarm, the better it will be for them,” Huckabee emphasized.
