EU Proposes Appointment of Special Envoy for Russia Relations
The Prime Minister of Latvia, Evika Silin, and the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, have initiated a proposal to appoint a special representative within the European Union aimed at restoring dialogue with Russia.
Karis stated that Europe has lagged in initiating negotiations, resulting in active involvement from U.S. President Donald Trump in the process.
Silin emphasized that alongside diplomacy, the EU must continue its pressure and sanctions against Russia.
