The Number of Cancer Cases Increased Due to Air Pollution in Yerevan: Narek Karapetyan

Today, a meeting was held with supporters led by Samvel Karapetyan, during which one citizen proposed to generate electricity from waste. Narek Karapetyan endorsed this proposal, noting that the Nubarashen landfill is one of the main issues causing air pollution in Yerevan, and this approach could help address the problem.

“The Nubarashen landfill is one of the main problems contributing to the air pollution in Yerevan. Two days ago, we had a meeting with doctors, and they mentioned that the number of cancer cases has increased by 20 percent in the last seven years solely due to the polluted air in Yerevan,” he stated.
