Operations of the Shahumyan Village Kindergarten Kitchen Suspended
The operations of the kitchen at the Shahumyan Village Kindergarten, a community non-profit organization in Artashat municipality, have been suspended based on a report by inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body’s Ararat regional center. This information was reported by the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia.
During the inspection, violations of sanitary and hygienic norms were found. Specifically, the walls of the food establishment did not have smooth surfaces and were not properly maintained; there were cases of peeling plaster, the ceilings were unsafe and not properly maintained, and various-sized cracks were present. The construction was not designed to minimize the accumulation of dirt and the potential for particle shedding. The director of the organization has been instructed to take necessary measures to ensure that the food establishment complies with legal requirements. A deadline has been set for correcting the identified violations.
