What Weather is Expected in February
In February, the average monthly temperature is expected to be 2-3 degrees above normal, with precipitation levels exceeding the norm by 5-10mm. This is reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.
In Yerevan, on February 2 during the day, and on the 3rd-4th, as well as the night of the 7th and morning hours, precipitation is expected in the form of rain and mixed rain-snow. On February 5-6, and during the day of the 7th, no precipitation is expected.
On February 3 at night and in the morning, fog is anticipated. Across the republic, on February 2 during the day and on the 3rd-4th, as well as on the 7th, showers are expected in certain areas, with mixed rain and rain in pre-mountainous and valley regions, and snow in mountainous areas. In some mountainous areas, blizzards and low horizontal visibility are expected.
February 5-6 are forecasted to be without precipitation. Winds will be from the southwest at 3-6 m/s, with gusts up to 17-20 m/s expected in certain regions on February 2 during the day and from the 3rd to the 7th.
On the night of February 3 and in the morning, fog is expected in certain areas. The air temperature will gradually rise by another 2-4 degrees during the daytime on February 2-3, then drop by 5-7 degrees during the nights and days of February 4-5, and rise again by the same amount on the 6th-7th.
