Public Transport Workers Strike in Germany
Public transport workers in Germany are on strike. Buses, trams, and metro trains are not operating in all regions of Germany, except for Lower Saxony.
The Ver.di union, which called for the strike on February 2, is negotiating with municipal services across all German states regarding wages and working conditions. The demands include a reduction in working hours on weekends, shorter shifts, longer breaks, and increased bonuses for night and weekend work.
