EU Imposes Sanctions on Kyrgyzstan for Assisting Russia
The European Union is considering the imposition of sanctions against Kyrgyzstan for aiding Russia in circumventing restrictive measures. According to Bloomberg, these actions are being discussed within the framework of preparing the EU's 20th sanctions package related to the war in Ukraine.
Sources from the agency indicate that Kyrgyzstan could become the first post-Soviet country to be sanctioned for violating the sanctions regime. Specifically, a ban on the supply of machine tools and electronic devices to the republic is being discussed.
