US Should Gradually Resolve Its Relations with Iran: Hakan Fidan
The United States should gradually address its problematic relations with Iran, as it is difficult and humiliating for Tehran to tackle all issues at once, according to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
“I want to say one thing. It is wrong to attack Iran, it is wrong to start a war again. Iran is ready to resume negotiations over its nuclear program. My advice to American friends has always been the following: resolve the issues related to Iran one by one. Start with the nuclear program and resolve it, then move on to the other issues. If we collect everything together, it will be very difficult for our Iranian friends to accept and go through this process. Sometimes they may find it humiliating, and it will be extremely difficult to explain not only to themselves but also to their leadership. If we can make the situation more bearable, it will help,” Fidan said in an interview with Al Jazeera.
