Armenia to Receive Support from European Peace Facility for the Second Time, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
As previously reported, a political agreement was reached in December on the provision of the second tranche of support to Armenia under the European Peace Facility. Today, this agreement has been formally recorded by the EU Council through a decision adopted at the meeting of foreign ministers from member states.
This information was shared with "News" by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ani Badalyan.
It is worth noting that this is the second time Armenia receives support from the European Peace Facility. The first assistance, amounting to 10 million euros, was provided in July 2024 to enhance the logistical capabilities of Armenia’s armed forces and to strengthen the protection of civilians during crisis and emergency situations.
