Russia Upholds Key Understandings from Anchorage in Ukraine Talks: Ryabkov
In the Ukraine negotiations, Russia maintains the fundamental understandings reached with the United States following the Anchorage summit, stated Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov.
"We are doing everything possible to develop a plan for resolution that fully corresponds to the fundamental understandings reached during the meeting of the Presidents of Russia and the United States in Anchorage, amid almost continuous communications in various formats over the last few days," the deputy minister said in an interview with TASS.
The Russian delegation in the negotiations was composed exclusively of representatives from the Ministry of Defense. The working group on security issues was headed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Admiral Igor Kostyukov.
