Two Senior Tax Officers Arrested on Bribery Charges
Two senior tax officers from the Armenian State Revenue Committee have been arrested on charges of receiving a particularly large bribe. Requests have been submitted to the court to select imprisonment as a preventive measure, which have been granted. This information was provided to NEWS.am in response to an inquiry from the Anti-Corruption Committee.
It is recalled that just days ago, as a result of operational and investigative measures conducted by the Anti-Corruption Committee, both officers were detained immediately after committing the criminal act. They are accused of receiving a bribe of 9 million AMD in exchange for illegal actions favoring an entrepreneur.
