Serious Concerns Raised: Lavrov on Vardan Ghukasyan's Arrest
Vardan Ghukasyan is accused of calling for joining Russia and Belarus. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"The arrest for expressing political views aimed at expanding relations with the country, which in no way undermine Armenia's sovereignty or territorial integrity, has certainly raised serious concerns," noted the Russian foreign minister.
Lavrov also expressed hope that Armenian politicians advocating for the development and deepening of cooperation with Russia will not face persecution.
