US Guarantees Are for 15 Years, but Kyiv Wants 30-50 Years: Zelensky
Zelensky has stated that he will not lift martial law after a ceasefire, only after receiving real security guarantees. He emphasized that a ceasefire alone does not signify the end of the war.
According to Zelensky, martial law and mobilization in Ukraine will remain in effect until security guarantees are received, monitored, and with the presence of partners.
He pointed out that the US guarantees under discussion are for 15 years, but Kyiv is seeking guarantees for 30 to 50 years. Trump has promised to 'think about it,' adding that the main burden will fall on Europe, but he did not specify what obligations the US would take on.
