Everything is Expected: Samvel Shahramanyan Being Questioned Again, Lawyer Says
Samvel Shahramanyan is currently at the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, where he is being questioned again.
Shahramanyan is being interrogated in relation to the criminal proceedings of the 44-day war in Artsakh, based on statements regarding the fall of Artsakh and alleged incidents causing certain damages to Armenia within the Information Headquarters of the Republic of Artsakh.
It is noteworthy that the President of Artsakh has been questioned several times in this case.
Earlier, the newspaper “Zhoghovurd” reported that it is possible that charges will be brought against Shahramanyan and a motion for detention will be submitted to the court.
The lawyer Roman Yeritsyan stated in an interview with reporters, “The President of the Republic of Artsakh has only the procedural status of a witness in this criminal case, but considering the events happening in Armenia and the raid on the Artsakh representation on December 11, everything is expected (referring to the possibility of a detention motion being filed).”
The lawyer noted that during the June-July period of 2025, Shahramanyan has been intensively questioned 12 times within the framework of this case and has provided all the information known to him.
