Trump Promises Retaliatory Actions Following Death of American Soldiers in Syria
U.S. President Donald Trump has promised to take retaliatory actions against the ISIS organization, which has been designated as a terrorist group and is banned in Russia, in response to the deaths of American service members in Syria.
Earlier, the Pentagon reported that two U.S. Army soldiers and one civilian translator were killed during operations against ISIS in Syria. Additionally, two U.S. soldiers and another civilian were injured in the attack.
The assault occurred while the soldiers were meeting with key local leaders. Their mission was to assist current operations against ISIS and terrorism in the region.
According to the department, an investigation into the circumstances of the attack is underway.
