Operations of a Bakery Suspended in Yerevan
Based on a citizen's report, inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body's rapid response division conducted an inspection of a bakery owned by individual entrepreneur Eleonora Hakobyan, located on Artsakh Street in Yerevan. They discovered that the bakery was operating in violation of sanitary and hygienic standards.
Specifically, the surfaces of production facilities were not made of waterproof, washable, and sanitizable materials; the internal windows did not have insect screens; and the equipment, tools, utensils, and containers that come into direct contact with food were not constructed of materials that meet hygiene requirements and were not maintained in good repair.
As a result, the production activities of the bakery have been suspended, and the operator has been instructed to take necessary measures to ensure that the food establishment complies with the regulatory requirements. A deadline has been set for the elimination of the identified violations.
