US Implements Visa Restrictions on Persecutors of Christians, Rubio
The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, has announced that Washington will impose strict measures against individuals and entities involved in or supporting violence against Christians. He stated that the US State Department will deny visas to those who deliberately lead, finance, encourage, or carry out violations of religious freedoms.
This new policy concerns not only Nigeria but also other countries and individuals engaged in the persecution of people due to their faith.
"These visa restrictions represent the US's firm response to the atrocities faced by Christians in Nigeria and around the world," Rubio mentioned on the social platform X.
