We Did Not Know That War Was Going to Begin: Alen Simonian
There has always been concern, but there was no clear information; we did not know that war was going to begin. This was stated by the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, while discussing the 44-day war.
“A few days before the war began, I was in Artsakh, meeting both military personnel and President Arayik Harutyunyan. He said that there was always danger, and we could see troop movements, but there was no information regarding the impending start of war,” he emphasized.
