Péter Szijjártó Calls EU the Financier of Ukraine's Corruption
The Hungarian Foreign Minister, Péter Szijjártó, has delivered a sharp critique of the European Union, stating that the EU has become the "main financier of Ukrainian corruption." Szijjártó made these comments on social media, accusing Brussels of providing uncontrollable financial support to Kyiv.
According to him, for many years the activities of the Ukrainian state have been financed by taxes from European citizens. He added that corruption in Ukraine has gone beyond control, which is why "nobody sees a clear report on what EU funds are actually spent on." Szijjártó also criticized Brussels' intention to continue financial support to Kyiv. He remarked, "Send even more money to Ukraine—to Zelensky, whose close circle has just been uncovered for creating a major corruption network."
