Mikheil Saakashvili Transferred from Clinic to Prison
The former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, has been transferred from the clinic where he has been since May 2022 to a prison, according to the Georgian Ministry of Justice's penitentiary service.
It should be recalled that the former president has been sentenced to nine years in prison after being found guilty of embezzling a significant amount of budgetary funds. According to the court ruling, Saakashvili will be released only on October 1, 2030.
