Khandanyan on Wheat Imported from Kazakhstan
MP Sargis Khandanyan from the Civil Contract faction has described opposition statements regarding wheat imported from Kazakhstan as laughable. In a conversation with journalists, he addressed criticisms from the opposition, noting that the Kazakhstan side has officially clarified the classification of the exported wheat.
“Essentially, it is wheat that will be used for bread production. I do not want to evaluate, but the conclusions of the opposition's laboratory analysis are worthy of ridicule and disdain,” the MP stated.
When asked by journalists about the Deputy Minister of Economy's failure to deny that the imported wheat could be animal feed, Khandanyan responded, “I need to hear what the Deputy Minister of Economy has said in order to comment. As you know, I am not a wheat specialist. There are different needs; I assume that Armenia is importing goods for its various needs.”
